The Challenge

Reducing cellular data consumption for users scrolling through hundreds of videos without degrading visual quality.

The Problem

Short-form video scroll interfaces suffered from high latency, buffer cycles, and excessive data consumption, particularly in lower-bandwidth cellular regions.

Our Solution

We engineered a React Native app optimizing native video player modules, caching pre-fetched video blocks, and utilizing AWS CloudFront CDN for global low-latency video streaming.

Our Approach

We built an HLS transcoding pipeline that dynamically adjusts resolutions based on connection speed and uses client-side cache management to recycle video data.
